- The 2026 BAFTA Awards nominations are here, with *One Battle After Another* leading with 14.

- *Sinners* is close behind with 13 nominations.

- Paul Mescal, Chase Infiniti, and more Oscars-snubbed works scored nods from BAFTA.**

The 2026 BAFTA Awards nominations have been revealed, with the British Academy (lightly) avenging *Wicked: For Good*'s Oscars snubs and positioning *One Battle After Another* at the top of its full list of nominees on Tuesday.

Five days after the Oscars nominations were unveiled, *One Battle After Another* led BAFTA nominations with 14 nods, with *Sinners* — which broke the Oscars record for most nominations for a single movie in history with 16 — close behind with 13.

Acting favorites continued their respective streaks at BAFTA, with Timothée Chalamet (*Marty Supreme*), Jessie Buckley (*Hamnet*), Teyana Taylor (*One Battle After Another*), and Stellan Skarsgård (*Sentimental Value*) all showing up.

The group also nominated Oscar-snubbed performances by Paul Mescal (*Hamnet*) and Chase Infiniti (*One Battle After Another*), with each six-nominee category holding one additional acting slot than the Academy's corresponding brackets.**** Meanwhile, *Wicked: For Good* earned a pair of nominations for Best Makeup and Hair and Best Costume Design after being completely shut out last week by the Academy. *Wicked* had seven BAFTA nominations last year, including for stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.**** One notable snub is Amy Madigan, who won the Critics Choice Award and scored Golden Globe, Actor Award, and Oscar nominations for her supporting turn in *Weapons*.**** BAFTA nomination voting closed two days before Oscars nominations were announced, so its nominations were unaffected by those results.**

A key precursor on the road to the Oscars in any given year, the BAFTA Awards indicate Academy tastes, as the groups have overlapping membership and often match nominees and winners each year. Last season, BAFTA and the Academy aligned on all four acting winners, with Adrien Brody (*The Brutalist*), Mikey Madison (*Anora*), Kieran Culkin *(A Real Pain)*, and Zoe Saldaña (*Emilia Pérez*) winning acting awards from both groups.

Emmy-winning *Traitors* host and actor Alan Cumming will host the 2026 BAFTA Awards ceremony on Sunday, Feb. 22.
