- Andy Cohen is looking back on a rocky experience with former *Biggest Loser *cohost Jillian Michaels.
- Cohen tells EW that Michaels' appearance on a 2013 episode of his talk show *Watch What Happens Live *turned sour when a "furious" Michaels began "screaming at my staff" after the episode finished shooting.
- Michaels previously called her time on *WWHL *a* *"truly hideous experience" and called Cohen "extremely rude."
Andy Cohen has weathered his fair share of adverse reactions to his *Watch What Happens Live* interviews. But one still baffles him.
The Bravo bigwig, talk show host, and *Real Housewives *kingpin recently sat down with * *to discuss his partnership with Nerds in an upcoming Super Bowl commercial. Cohen recently shared a first-look of the candy spot — his first-ever commercial for the big game — to his Instagram, with the full commercial to follow.
During the chat, he also revisited some of his most surprising *WWHL *moments. Though she appeared on the program only once 13 years ago, celebrity fitness guru turned conservative news commentator Jillian Michaels left the interview in such a shocking way that details still spring right to Cohen's mind.
"She was furious. I should watch it back, if I cared," Cohen jokes, before growing sincere and stating, "I don't see what she was upset about."

Jillian Michaels on 'Watch What Happens Live' with Andy Cohen.
Michaels appeared alongside *Big Bang Theory *actress Melissa Rauch on the Feb. 13, 2013 episode of *Watch What Happens Live*. It was a typical episode of the late night chat show, which Cohen has hosted since 2009. Michaels detailed some of the biggest mistakes people make during their workout routines, gave a cheeky thumbs up when *Real Housewives of Beverly Hills *alum Brandi Glanville called in to say she'd like to "swim in the lady pond" with Michaels, who is gay, and participated in Cohen's infamous "shotski," where he and his guests take shots affixed to a ski.
Despite her appearing in good humor throughout the episode, Cohen recalls, "She left and she was screaming at my staff. And if you scream at my staff, that's kind of it for me."
Referring to a set of controversial comments she made about slavery in 2025 on an episode of *CNN NewsNight With Abby Phillip*, Cohen notes, "She seems to be the leading expert on slavery somehow." But that doesn't exactly qualify her for a *WWHL *return. "I don't think there's a market for that," he says. "By the way, I don't think she would come."
EW has reached out to a representative for Michaels for comment.

Where is Jillian Michaels now? All about the former 'Biggest Loser' trainer (and why she left the competition series)

Given Michaels' commentary on her experience after the episode aired, that's a safe bet.
In 2018, Michaels told *Life & Style* that she "never" watches series in the *Real Housewives *franchise because, "I hate that s---... I hate watching women tear each other apart. Anybody who watches it, shame on you."
Michaels went even further by claiming that the series was "created by someone that hates women!... I mean, the guy hates them. He's an a--hole." Though the *Housewives *franchise was actually created by producer Scott Dunlop, her comments were widely interpreted to imply Cohen, who still serves as an executive producer and reunion host.**

Cohen directly responded to these remarks weeks later, telling *The Hollywood Reporter*, "I love women," and defending *Housewives* as "a show about women and it's predominately for women," making Michaels' characterization "a really good question for the millions of women who watch the shows."****

But it wasn't over for Michaels, who confirmed her antipathy toward Cohen and opened up about its origin* *the next year.
"We've not been friendly for years," she told *US Weekly*. "I did his show once and it was a really awful experience." Cohen was "extremely rude," she recalled, as well as "condescending and unprofessional."
Michaels confessed she "thought when we met that we were gonna be, like, gay homies," but Cohen's perceived condescension when explaining how to take shots via the shotski rubbed her the wrong way. "That was a truly hideous experience. Like in all the years I've been doing this, nothing like this has ever happened," she said.
Michaels has not been back to *Watch What Happens Live *in the years since, but her former *Biggest Loser *cohost, Bob Harper, pointedly noted in a 2017 appearance that he "heard from *almost* all of my *Biggest Loser* costars" after he suffered a heart attack. Last August, Harper confirmed that Michaels did not reach out after the experience, which he said "spoke volumes to me."
Watch Cohen in a teaser for his big game day spot with Nerds above, and stay tuned for the full commercial during the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 8, beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT on NBC.**
