- Jimmy Kimmel is slamming Donald Trump for not attending Donald Trump Jr.'s wedding to partner Bettina Anderson over the weekend.

- Trump said in a Truth Social post that he wanted to be there, but "circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so.”

- "He loves Don Jr., he just loves the United States more!” Kimmel joked.

Jimmy Kimmel is calling out Donald Trump for getting cold feet and skipping his son Donald Trump Jr.’s big day.

The late-night comedian, 58, slammed the Republican president, 79, for not attending his eldest son’s wedding to partner Bettina Anderson in the Bahamas over the weekend.

“DJTJ and his bride Bettina were married on Saturday on a private island in the Bahamas,” Kimmel said on Tuesday’s episode of *Jimmy Kimmel Live*. “It was a small ceremony with about 40 guests, none of whom were his father.”

The host proceeded to display Trump’s Truth Social post in which the former Trump Steaks founder explained that he “very much wanted to be with my son” on his wedding day but that “circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so.”

“See! He can be warm when he wants to! He loves Don Jr. he just loves the United States more!” Kimmel cheered. “He had circumstances pertaining to Government to get to! And also, flying to a private island makes him miss his friend Jeffrey who he lost.”

He also poked holes in Trump’s excuse that he couldn't attend the ceremony due to his schedule.

“I mean, this is a guy who, he golfs two, three times a week. He’s going to UFC fights with Vanilla Ice. He was too busy for his son’s wedding,” he said. “But he did say Don and Bettina are gonna have a great marriage and this is a man who knows a great marriage. He’s had three of them himself.”

Kimmel continued, “Poor Don Jr.! Without his father there, you know they had to scramble to find somebody else to make a 90 minute toast about windmills and transgender weightlifters.”

However, Trump may get another chance to celebrate his son’s nuptials. Kimmel noted that the newlyweds are “reportedly still planning to celebrate their marriage at the White House” and that “the president and First Lady are expected to attend that event.”

“Well, you’d hope so. They live there!” he exclaimed. “Can you imagine if they didn’t show up to that one, too? ‘We wanted to make it, but we were unable to go downstairs.’”

Trump Jr. and Anderson tied the knot in a small ceremony on a private island in the Bahamas on May 23.

While his father and Melania Trump did not attend the wedding, Trump Jr.’s siblings Ivanka, Eric, and Tiffany, as well as their respective spouses, were present. Their youngest sibling, Barron, was also absent.
