Kit Keenan is sharing an apartment renovation progress update. In a May 26 TikTok video, the New York City-based influencer, 26, shared that, just after renovations had begun on her new apartment (which she purchased in December 2025), she received a call telling her that there was a "full flood in the apartment.""One of the pipes burst while they were working," Keenan said as she walked down the street with her younger sister Gigi Powers in the clip. Both Keenan and Powers are the daughters of renowned fashion designer Cynthia Rowley."I went last week, and they had already taken the island out and moved a few things," she said. "Started to do the reveals on the floor. So there's been some updates, but let's see what's going on with this flood."

Keenan filmed as she showed the apartment, which was covered in dehumidifiers and fans to dry up the water. "So that horrible sound is all of the dehumidifiers in the apartment. Trying to mitigate the effects of the flood," she said. "But the good news is the island is completely demolished." Keenan then pointed out some of the other work that needed to be done around the apartment, including replacing the floors and removing a bunch of blue glass in the bathroom."This would happen to me," Keenan captioned the post. Commenters weighed in with advice for Keenan, including one user who suggested she look into getting a "professional mold check" after the water was fully dry.
Keenan first announced that she had purchased her apartment in December 2025, sharing a video of her signing the papers for the apartment. Over the clip, she wrote: "If you ever feel embarrassed about posting on social media, here's me signing the deed for my dream apartment in NYC thanks to this job."At the time, Keenan also addressed commenters' pushback, accusing her of being a "nepo baby" because of her famous mom.Replying to one user who wrote, "Being a nepo baby who's never had to pay rent def helped too!!!" Keenan, whose father is interior designer Bill Keenan, said, "Would have been impossible if I hadn't had those years living at home saving."

"Yeah leave that out of the video then. Also you would have had this regardless of literally anything you decided to do. Manhattan kids have no radius to understand how dramatically different their lives are from even most of the top 1% in America," another commenter wrote. In 2021, Keenan, then 21, appeared on an episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast (she was previously a contestant on Matt James' season of The Bachelor), where she spoke about being labeled a socialite and the misconceptions associated with her lifestyle."I think people think that my life is like Gossip Girl, and I've gotten the Blair Waldorf thing. I've kind of played into it a little bit," Keenan told Bachelor Happy Hour co-hosts Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin. "But obviously…oh my gosh, yeah. This is something that I've struggled with my entire life."

Keenan went on to add that she was so grateful for the "amazing opportunities and experiences" she has been given but explained that, "at the end of the day, it's not like I'm going to fashion shows every day. That's part of my life."
"The glamorous things? Yes I've been able to experience a lot of that. But it doesn't mean that I'm not down to cook dinner at home. I'm very much an introvert." She also added that she would get "so mad" when she hears herself being described as a "socialite," because there is more to her than her upbringing.
"That was my original title on the show and I felt that I completely diminished my accomplishments," she said on the podcast. "I am a senior at NYU right now studying fashion and business. I have been a small business owner since my freshman year of college. I host a podcast biweekly with my mom, produce and edit it myself. So there's a lot more to me than nice cars and having a public figure as a mother."
