Robert Irwin gave his followers a fright in a new video he shared to TikTok on Jan. 28
In the video, he panned his video to reveal a gnarly critter sitting in the driver’s seat of his car

Robert Irwin is giving his followers a bit of a fright!
On Wednesday, Jan. 28, the 22-year-old wildlife conservationist — and recent winner of Dancing with the Stars — shared a video inside his vehicle, where he found what he cheekily called a “passenger princess” in the driver’s seat.
“I open up my car door, and I didn’t realize that, uh, there would already be a passenger in here,” he told his followers, panning his camera in through the car door to dramatically reveal the critter inside: a massive spider.
“Hello, mate,” Irwin said. “A little passenger princess. There she is.” And then he closed the door of the vehicle, letting the spider be.

In the comments, Irwin’s followers shared a spectrum of strong reactions.
“THIS is why I live where the air hurts my face and the cold freezes my snot 6 months out of the year,” wrote one.
“Pretty sure it’s actually a passenger problem,” wrote another.
Irwin, the son of legendary conservationist Steve Irwin, recently returned to TV on Jan. 18 after his DWTS win in November, appearing in Australia's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, which he has cohosted with Julia Morris since 2023.

In a teaser he released to Instagram before the premiere, Irwin shared that the upcoming season was "one to watch because it's going to be the most intense season we've ever had, the most challenging, the most emotional. And our celebrities, holy moly, they're gonna get a run for their money."
Irwin and his pro dance partner, Witney Carson, 32, nabbed the Mirrorball trophy during the season 34 finale — a decade after his sister, Bindi, won season 21 with partner Derek Hough.
After his win, he commemorated the victory by bringing the trophy back to his native Australia on Jan. 8, introducing the trophy to residents of the Australia Zoo, which his family owns and operates.

"The mirrorball has made it home - had to show my friends what I’ve been up to 🪩🐨” he wrote in an Instagram post, which included a video of him showing the prize to several wild animals.
Speaking to PEOPLE after his DWTS win, Irwin said that seeing his sister bring home the trophy a decade back was particularly special because it was a chance to spread the message about the zoo and Wildlife Warriors, their charity.
“It's about making the world a better place. And when I watched her lift that Mirrorball, I saw her lifting that message,” he said.
